The Victoria Falls are in Zimbabwe , formerly Southern Rhodesia........
It is just a 2 hour flight from Johannesburg......on quite a small plane!
We stayed at the Victoria Falls hotel... a superb choice
Stanley's Bar was inviting!!
Out first outing was to walk around the falls.... this was not peak water time.....however what was there was more than adequate and we didn't end up getting soaking wet!
That evening we ate in one of their restaurants, the Jungle junction outdoor restaurant. A local show was put on to entertain us....African rites!
This was also fantastic for breakfast......
We managed to try all their restaurants while there!
Their Livingstone dining room was very formal ......
and Stanley's terrace was great....... for afternoon tea!
We also had an evening dinner cruise on the Zambezi river.......to check for crocodiles and/or hippos!
