Looking on Trip Advisor we came up with a restaurant called Baglieri which was apparently the best to visit in the area. However reading further some people described it as being in Lido di Noto and others implied that it was in Noto itself. There is a 5 km distance between the 2!
Checking online we found that there were indeed at least 2 restaurants with a similar name.......so we obviously needed to try both places!
On the day we were deciding where to go we had just gotten a parking fine in Noto...... so the decision as to which to try first was easy........ Lido di Noto!
The restaurant that we visited there is actually called Baglio Siciliamo... and is in an Agriturismo.....
We found out that Baglio means winery..... and this place is indeed charming. However it did not have too many people! One other couple a little later than us! But they said it was the end of the season.....
The food however was indeed good......
and we can definitely recommend.....
Next day I was checking for Baglieri again and found a different one in Lido di Noto!
I think this was the one which causes the confusion on Trip Advisor..... however we are not going back!
But we did go back to Noto...
arriving at the time of the Passagiato.....
and the Baglieri, now called Dammuso, is superb! The chef here is is the mother of the chef at the Ristorante Crocifisso Baglieri...... presumably they are changing their name because of the confusion.....
Every table was full, after 8.45......95% Italian.....we were the only english speaking table!
Food was excellent........
And when we left the Passiagato had definitely ended.......
