From Yosemite we went to stay in Carmel........
We had decided to stay in the hotel owned by Clint Eastwood, the Mission Ranch. This is a very simple inn but has a fantastic location. Unfortunately we didn't bump into him while there!
We had a great view to the ocean from our dinner table. Too good to not enjoy and so we sat outside even though it was actually a little cool despite the heat lamps! The clouds were rolling in.........
And the food was surprisingly good, particularly the local artichoke.....
The view next morning was better.....
Point Lobos was just a short distance away and it is one of our favorite places to go for a walk......
and to sit and contemplate.......
After our walk we went into Carmel ..... we needed a coffee.....
and then on to 17 Mile Drive passing by Pebble Beach.......
and ended up in Monterey........

.............and we explored the town which has very quaint buildings........

and we checked out the Lone Cypress......
and ended up in Monterey........
